Scars

Scars

When looking at long-term memory retention, any violently experienced episode is absorbed, recorded and perpetuated in the brain.

Therefore, if we want to perpetuate memories, the experiences must be conditioned to involve strong emotions. When transmitted by a transmitter capable of generating alterations of the emotional state in the receivers, they cause a memorable effect, being retained in the individual as a lasting impression. On the other hand, strong physical or verbal aggression, traumas or accidents will rarely leave our memories.

Contributing to these facts is the interaction between a region of the brain called the limbic brain, and the neural tissues which register the emotions of these events, causing the retention of these experiences in the individual.

The brain receives the stimuli with the support of sensitive cranial nerves connected to the sense organs, likewise the somatic cells also register events.

When we look at or hear certain situations, the recorded memories of past situations transmit and revive sensations and emotions.
Joy, fear, chills and even feelings of unease are explained by the interaction between the limbic emotional brain and the physical body which recorded the experienced sensation.
So any emotional or physical scar is reciprocal, the emotional becomes physical and the physical becomes emotional, which is why the human being is dissociable, there is no mind and body apart, but rather, they coexist in a dynamic partnership.
